The Livestock subsector of the National Agricultural Development in the Country had seen a significant decline beef cattle numbers and other livestock developments as well due to mismanagement and poor administration of the subsector.
A significant shift in paradigm occurred when the Marape – Rosso Government came into Office and appointed a new Minister to deal with livestock matters. The Marape – Rosso Government also appointed a real livestock man in Mr. Terry Koim to the Managing Director’s job to work with the newly appointed Minister for Livestock to re-direct the corporate goals of the Livestock Industry and deliver the Government of Papua New Guinea’s Medium Term Development Plan IV

1. National Livestock Development Program
2. Rehabilitations and Building of New Abattoirs
3. Establishment of Commercial Animal Feed Farm
